At Vida Consulting we recognise that education is required to destigmatise mental health issues. We provide bespoke mental health training tailored to the needs of organisations and communities. We also offer the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training in England and Scotland.
This is an internationally recognised evidence-based mental health literacy course that qualifies participants as Mental Health First Aiders or Mental Health Champions. It is core aim is to improve the general public’s awareness and understanding of mental health. It was developed in Australia and learning can take place online or in-person through a mixture of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.

Higher Education Mental Health First Aid One Day Course (in person)
This course is for everyone who works or studies in a higher education establishment and for organisations that work closely with the higher education sector.
Mental Health Aware Half Day Course (online and in person)
This course will teach participants about mental health, how to challenge the stigma that surrounds it and also cover common mental health issues.
The Mental Health First Aid Adult Two Day Course (in person)
This is a two day face to face course across four manageable sessions.

This course takes place online course across manageable sessions
Scotland Mental Health First Aid Adult (SMHFAA) Two Day Course (in person)
This is a two day face to face course across four manageable sessions and learning takes place through a mixture of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.
Scotland Mental Health First Aid – Young People (SMHFA-YP) Course
This course is designed for adults that work with young people between the ages of 11- 17 or adults who are interested in promoting the mental well-being of young people. It consists of 14 hours of blended training which includes pre and post course self-learning. The course is a mixture of self-study and a one-day face-to-face component, the self-study is undertaken online using the NHS Scotland Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
